ROLE of the POSITION The Director of Operations and Campus Outreach serves as a key member of the Department of Lifelong Learning, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Lifelong Learning. This role is responsible for managing strategic planning, operational coordination, and campus outreach initiatives to support the department’s mission of fostering continuous education and professional growth for diverse learners across the lifespan. The Director oversees critical functions including data analysis, campus collaboration, event coordination, pre-award grant management, and support and coordination for Department employer engagement efforts while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, community needs, and industry trends.

The Director ensures operational excellence and supports the Executive Director in delivering innovative, high-quality learning opportunities that enhance workforce readiness and strengthen community engagement.

This position shall collaborate with the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs to set annual goals that align with Top Tier initiatives and SVPAA mission and identify and track core metrics to assess success. Like all AA leaders, this position plays a crucial role in enrollment growth, removing barriers to student success, ensuring inclusive and equitable access to resources, working to eliminate the achievement gap, and providing outstanding services and support to students across the lifecycle. By addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support, this position will meaningfully contribute to the institution's commitment to expand access, grow enrollment, and promote equitable student success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a minimum of 3-5 years related professional experience, 1-3 years of supervisory and a minimum of 1 year of managerial experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A Master’s degree is preferred. 5-7 years related professional experience, 3-5 years of supervisory; 2 years or more of managerial experience.
