Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations of the nursing department and ensure regulatory compliance Manage staffing: recruit, hire, train, and schedule clinical staff Develop and manage department budgets and resource allocation Participate in state and federal survey processes; develop and implement Plans of Correction (POC) as needed Oversee EMR management and clinical documentation, including audits, dashboards, and reporting Conduct and supervise assessments, care planning, and resident evaluations Ensure timely communication with physicians, residents, and families about care updates and changes Enforce infection control, safety protocols, and antibiotic stewardship practices Promote a resident-centered care environment, free of abuse and neglect Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement (QA/CQI) processes Encourage interdepartmental collaboration and positive team culture

Skills: Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication and critical thinking Familiarity with EMR systems, nursing regulations, and care planning Work Environment & Physical Requirements Moderate noise level; on-site clinical environment Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs Frequent movement, communication, and interaction with residents and staff Reasonable accommodations provided as needed Supervisory Duties Directly supervise nursing staff Oversee employee performance, training, engagement, and conflict resolution Ensure staffing aligns with facility needs and compliance requirements Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Active, unencumbered RN license in North Dakota Minimum 5 years of RN experience CPR/BLS Certification Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
