The Director of Nursing Practice & Operations is a key system-wide leader, providing strategic and operational direction to nursing teams at all inpatient sites. You will oversee clinical practice, lead site-based nursing leaders and the nurse educator, and ensure trauma-informed, high-quality care is consistently delivered across all hospitals. This role also plays a vital part in regulatory compliance, staff development, and multidisciplinary collaboration. What You’ll Do
Provide operational leadership for all inpatient nursing functions
Ensure consistency in execution of nursing policies and clinical standards
Supervise and guide the Nurse Educator and site-based nursing leaders
Lead quality improvement initiatives, assess clinical metrics, and drive performance outcomes
Mentor and coach nurse leaders across the system
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care
Support and participate in site accreditation processes and internal committees
Stay up to date with electronic health records and HR systems to support clinical and leadership responsibilities
Travel as needed (day and overnight) to support site operations and leadership
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required); Master of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing leadership experience Psychiatric or behavioral health experience required Director-level leadership experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications: Registered Nurse licensed in Kansas Valid driver's license and auto insurance Must be at least 21 years old
