We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to join our leadership team and guide our clinical staff in providing exceptional patient-centered care.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate leader with a strong clinical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality resident care while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of nursing care and daily operations of the Nursing Services Department. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DPH and CMS guidelines. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care. Lead and support nursing staff through training, performance evaluations, and mentorship. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote quality care and positive resident outcomes. Drive quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Serve as a liaison for residents, families, and staff to address care needs and concerns. Prepare for and participate in regulatory surveys and implement corrective action plans as needed.

Requirements: Current and valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (in good standing). Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Minimum of 10 years of nursing experience in long-term care/skilled nursing, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Prior DON experience preferred. Proven leadership experience as a DON in facilities with sub-acute, transitional care, and hospice/palliative services. Strong knowledge of DPH regulations, survey processes, and quality standards. Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems. Demonstrated commitment to resident-centered care and quality improvement. Track record of achieving high-performance benchmarks (e.g., CMS Five-Star Rating, DPH Report Card, ACHA Quality Awards). Experience in JCACHO or CARF-accredited facilities required. Ability to foster teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience in a faith-based, mission-driven, non-profit SNF preferred but not required. PM17
