Get to Know Your Team:
* Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque's Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), bariatric and orthopedic service lines.
Responsibilities
* The nurse director is a professional registered nurse with twenty-four hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of the organization. * The nursing director is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the unit/departments and executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. * The nurse director provides leadership and mentorship in the development of leaders and staff. * The nurse director is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement. * The nurse director is a change agent, and will establish strong collaborative relationships with physicians. * Responsible for overall administrative, financial and clinical activities of assigned departments.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required. Or if applicant does not have a BSN - must be enrolled in accredited BSN program with scheduled date of completion.
* Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
* Minimum of five years' clinical nursing experience of which 2 years must have been in management capacity.
Preferred Job Requirements:
* Master's Degree in Nursing and/or related field, preferred.
* Certification in clinical specialty or nursing administration, preferred.
