The Director of Nursing serves as the nursing clinical leader for the community and is responsible to lead and manage the health and wellness along with coordination of care and services to residents within the community.  The Director of Nursing is responsible for oversight and implementation of all care programs, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and performance management.

Responsibilities of Director of Nursing: Responsible for overall management of the nursing department

Assist in planning, developing, implementing and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans

Review and ensure proper charting and documentation of nursing procedures

Participate in surveys and inspections by government agencies

QUALIFICATIONS for Director of Nursing: Current RN state license, BSN preferred

Current CPR Certification

5 + years of experience in long term care experience

3 + years of nursing management in long term care, preferred

Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

Positive Can-Do Attitude
