This newly established role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead the nursing department in a forward-thinking healthcare setting. Position Overview: The Director of Nursing will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure delivery of high-quality patient care, and provide strong leadership to the nursing team. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all nursing services Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional growth Collaborate across departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency Develop and enforce policies and procedures to drive positive outcomes Manage departmental budget and resource allocation effectively Lead confidently in high-stress and emergency situations Minimum Requirements: Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State Required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required BLS Certification (AHA) Required upon hire Minimum 23 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role Required Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration Previous experience as a DON or in a nursing leadership role in acute or long-term care settings Why Join Us?
