Apply to find out more and become our next ROCKStar.POSITION SUMMARY:The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Clinical Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards. The DCO will work collaboratively with the administrative support team to establish an effective and efficient work environment to provide excellent quality of care to residents while embracing a culture of empowerment and educational development. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a current RN license in the state of TexasBachelors Degree (preferred)Prior nurse management in long term care/skilled nursing preferredESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for developing and overseeing the staffing schedule for the departmentDevelop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training as needed Approve and validate payroll for the clinical department prior to submittingDevelop and implement resident care plans in coordinator with a physician, medical director, nursing staff, and outside consultants.Assesses the quality of care renderedHelps development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services and other services under his or her position controlResponsible for staff performance, staff recruitment, staff retention, and staff development to achieve positive resident outcomesResponsible for collaborating with other departments and agencies regarding resources and services for improved patient care and staff developmentResponsible for planning, developing, and implementing a budgeted process for staffing and services renderedEvaluates the quality and cost-effectiveness of staffing and services within the goals of the facilityServes as spokesperson for nursing matters and represents the facility with professional nursing and related organizationsParticipates in appropriate meetings and committeesPromotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guestsUses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situationsOther duties as assignedAA/EEO/M/F/D/VWe offer great benefits to our valued team members!
