Director of New Business Development

The Recreational Group is searching for an experienced Director of New Business Development to work remotely. As the Director of New Business Development you will be an individual contributor and are responsible for meeting sales goals, negotiating national, regional and local deals, managing established processes, prospecting and setting up new accounts, and maintain ongoing market knowledge for the turf division. You will also work closely with the VP of Wholesale/Dealer Sales and VP of E-commerce and Accessories.
As the Director of New Business Development you will:
· Plan, direct, lead, and oversee the achievement of sales and gross profit goals for the specified territory.
· Complete quarterly, mid-year and annual forecasts by product line.
· Drive sales growth of the RG list of accounts by prospecting and forming new relationships with customers in person or over the phone, generating leads, setting up RG Distributors, Dealers, Installers and closing sales.
· Work cross-functionally with all RG departments (Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Service to exceed sales goals.)
· Develop strategies and techniques to promote region sales within new and existing product lines and customer base.
· Develop and maintain high level relationships with key distributors/dealers. Work closely with the Directors of National Accounts responsible for key account relationships to ensure relationships are maximized in the Region.
· Review and approve pricing requests from the field.
· Actively travel in the field to work with key distributors/dealers/customers.
· Maintain and develop professional/technical knowledge through relevant professional associations.
· Communicate regularly with management on sales goals, market trends, challenges and opportunities Review all accounts and attend training.
· Ensure that the highest level of customer service and ethical behavior are followed.
· Address and resolve all customer requests with a positive approach.
· Act as a technical resource for customers and others in the organization.
· Enter in pertinent information into CRM system for estimating and Project Management.
· Submit weekly updates to the VP of Sales.
To be successful in the role you must possess:
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Organizational skills and attention to detail
· Time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
· Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM System
· Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
· Ability to travel up to 50% during peak season
