Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Memory Care Director to lead our memory care program. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. The Memory Care Director will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible support while fostering a nurturing environment for both residents and staff.

Duties

Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences. Supervise and manage staff in the memory care unit, providing training and support to ensure high standards of care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to enhance resident care and well-being. Monitor resident health and behavior, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet changing needs. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to memory care services. Oversee budgeting and financial management within the memory care department. Foster a positive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement among residents. Maintain open communication with families regarding resident progress and any concerns.

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings, specifically in memory care or dementia care. Strong background in senior care management, including long-term care experience. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and supervision. Knowledge of medication administration practices and compliance standards. Familiarity with operations management, including budgeting and financial acumen. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members. Ability to create a supportive environment that respects the dignity of each resident while promoting their independence.

Pay: $62,500.00 per year
