Our client, a leader in mission-critical infrastructure, is seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering to join their team. As a Director of Mechanical Engineering, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative projects in advanced computing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $185,000 - $220,000

What's the Job?

Partner with construction and operations teams to design mechanical systems that balance cost, reliability, and sustainability. Lead the full mechanical design lifecycle-from early planning through commissioning-ensuring alignment with performance and quality standards. Serve as a technical expert in client-facing engagements, including tours, proposals, and presentations. Conduct detailed engineering analyses such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) calculations. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. Minimum 12 years of mechanical design and construction experience, preferably in mission-critical or data center environments. Deep knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems for high-performance facilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM. What's in it for me?
