About the Role:
As the Director of Material Management and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for developing and leading strategies to optimize material planning, forecasting, procurement, and repairs management across the fleet. This role includes oversight of Materials and Component Repairs teams, with accountability for managing inventory capital, operational expenses, and supplier relationships. You’ll ensure JSX maintains reliable part availability while balancing operational needs and budgetary goals.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be centered around ensuring Tech Ops has the right parts, at the right place, at the right time, and at the right cost. You’ll oversee teams, collaborate with suppliers, and align internal stakeholders to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop strategies, processes, and systems to improve material allocations, forecasting, planning, procurement, warranty, and repair management.
- Oversee the Materials and Component Repairs teams, ensuring efficient forecasting, procurement, and repairs management.
- Lead departmental initiatives, projects, and metrics to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and performance monitoring.
- Negotiate contracts that align with quality standards, cost efficiency, and performance targets.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen supply chain expertise across the organization.
- Build cross-divisional relationships with Finance, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to balance operational parts support with budgetary requirements.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to influence decisions, secure alignment, and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Ensure technology, processes, and procedures are continuously improved to support long-term supply chain efficiency.
- Manage multimillion-dollar inventory and operating costs while tracking service-level performance to support Tech Ops.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain or related field
- Proven experience leading teams across inventory planning, forecasting, procurement, and repairs management
- Experience managing multimillion-dollar inventory capital and operating budgets
- Strong supplier relationship management and contract negotiation experience
- 25% domestic travel required
Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with ability to develop and mentor teams
- Working knowledge of financial management, forecasting, and supply chain analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence across stakeholders
- Ability to exert up to 25 lbs. occasionally and perform light physical work (standing, walking, lifting)
Pay & Perks:
Compensation is $130,000 - $150,000, annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
