Director of Marketing – Travel & Tourism Industry
A leading organization in the Napa Valley travel and tourism space is seeking a dynamic and strategic  Director of Marketing  to lead brand development, content strategy, and media initiatives across paid, owned, and earned channels. This role is perfect for a hands-on marketing leader who excels in driving performance, inspiring teams, and building influential partnerships across the industry. VNV is a non-profit with 15–20 people on the team. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead the organization’s brand strategy across all touchpoints—digital, print, social, and experiential
Oversee content planning, paid media, website, social platforms, and promotional campaigns
Act as brand ambassador and spokesperson within the industry and local community
Manage agency relationships, internal teams, and marketing budget to deliver measurable results
Drive consumer insights and research to guide strategy and demonstrate tourism’s economic impact
Partner with local stakeholders, tourism boards, and executive leadership to align goals and messaging
Mentor a high-performing marketing team and foster collaboration and excellence across departments What We’re Looking For: 10+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally in tourism, destination marketing, or related industries, including luxury hospitality
Deep understanding of paid, earned, and owned media strategies
Strong background in content strategy, digital marketing tools, and brand management
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A flexible, proactive mindset with proven success managing teams and campaigns
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 100% Health Benefits covered (50% for dependents)
