Saxe Doernberger & Vita, a national insurance coverage law firm with offices in Trumbull, Connecticut, Naples, Florida, and Temecula, California, is seeking a Director of Marketing & Business Development with 5+ years of experience in Marketing and Business Development.

We advise our clients on all manner of insurance coverage issues, including policy placements, renewals, drafting policy language, contractual risk transfer, and claims. We also litigate coverage disputes between our clients and insurance carriers. The Director of Marketing & Business Development is responsible for preparing and overseeing the execution of the firm’s marketing and business development goals, supporting strategic growth, and maintaining a positive firm image. This role involves managing teams, overseeing projects and processes, interfacing with attorneys, and serving as a liaison across departments. The position also entails working directly with clients, prospects, and referrals. Key Responsibilities: This leadership position reports directly to the Management Committee and the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. Primary responsibilities include: Idea generation and implementation of marketing campaigns and business development strategies. Oversees media relations and digital marketing, including: The design and content of the firm’s website Graphics related to the firm’s BRIDGE Committee and internal newsletter The firm’s social media presence (LinkedIn and Facebook) Publication of press releases, articles, webinars, and the firm’s bi-weekly emailed newsletter (“eblast”) Development, production, and distribution of collateral and promotional materials Oversight of the Quality Control (“QC”) procedure for all firm-branded materials Oversees the firm’s CRM system, including training users. Prepares and analyzes ROI reports based on resource allocation. Prepares annual budgets in conjunction with stakeholders and manages expenses. Plans and executes attorney participation in industry events and firm-sponsored M/BD events. Reviews, drafts, and executes RFP responses. Manages the M/BD and Administrative teams, including hiring, evaluations, and performance management. This role is onsite in any of our offices: Trumbull, Connecticut; Naples, Florida; or Temecula, California.
