Overview
Ready to redefine what's possible in molecular diagnostics? BillionToOne is looking for a Director of Market Access to provide leadership, strategic direction, and overall management of payer relations to meet the Company's reimbursement objectives. Reporting to the VP of Market Access, the Director will lead and implement both strategic and tactical reimbursement activities within coverage, contracting, and payment. The role involves interaction with payers, physicians, sales, marketing, regulatory, product, medical affairs, and other company personnel to secure contracts for BillionToOne tests. The person will serve as a liaison between customer and company personnel on administrative matters, including the resolution of contracted payer issues. The position typically involves senior management and/or multiple decision-makers with payers, arranging interactions with appropriate medical affairs, technical, financial, and management personnel as necessary.
Must reside in or be willing to travel to the Northeast region of the United States.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the management of key business relationships with assigned national and regional payors.
- Develop strong payer relationships at an executive level and negotiate potential business opportunities aligned with long-term strategy.
- Gain new contracts, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and drive activity to implement strategies related to those contracts.
- Develop business plans for each account; monitor and report progress monthly, and develop tactics to exceed sales and company goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a healthcare-related field required.
- 3–5 years of experience in Market Access with a proven track record in complex selling, reimbursement of disruptive innovations, contract term negotiations, or related achievements.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience developing and executing strategic plans to obtain optimal payer coverage/policies and reimbursement for prenatal/oncology tests.
- Self-driven, passionate, innovative, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of intensity, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

For this position, BillionToOne offers a total compensation package up to $389,090 per year (including equity and at-plan commission, with no cap), and a base pay range of $208,080–$234,090 per year.
