We are seeking a results-driven Director of Manufacturing to oversee all aspects of production operations in our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading plant operations to ensure high performance in safety, quality, efficiency, cost control, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, lean manufacturing principles, and leadership of cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership and direction to all manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, sanitation, and warehousing. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF) and internal quality control policies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices to improve productivity and reduce waste. Develop and implement operational strategies, production schedules, and capacity planning to meet customer demand and company goals. Oversee capital investment projects, equipment upgrades, and process automation. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, OEE, and labor utilization. Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. Manage, mentor, and develop plant managers and department leaders. Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless product launches and production transitions. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses for the manufacturing function. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing or CPG industry. Proven track record of managing large-scale production operations and multi-shift teams. Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA/USDA regulations, and third-party audit standards. Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. ERP/MRP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
