This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all facilities. You will define and lead the strategic vision for additive manufacturing at Blue Origin. We seek an individual to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission is required! Responsibilities Include: Develop and implement the strategic vision for additive manufacturing. Align initiatives with company goals and customer needs. Develop scalable, efficient, and quality-compliant additive manufacturing processes and technologies. Increase production capabilities and efficiency. Champion digital transformation using IoT, AI, and Machine Learning; leverage data analytics to optimize production. Collaborate with programs and departments to integrate additive solutions. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. in engineering or manufacturing; Master’s or MBA is a plus. 10+ years leadership in manufacturing related to aerospace, automotive, medical devices, etc. Strong understanding of 3D printing in production and research environments. 7+ years managing large budgets or profit/loss. Experience in root cause analysis, fabrication, systems engineering, quality, and process development. Customer relations and expectation management skills. U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or lawful status in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or MBA. Extensive experience with metal and polymer 3D printing in production. Experience transitioning manufacturing from development to production. Experience with facility upgrades, Lean, or Six Sigma. Leadership in aerospace, military, or heavy industry. Compensation Range: $182,450 - $255,429.30 (WA applicants). Additional Information: Blue Origin is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
