Requisition ID: 118215 Position Overview: The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) is seeking a Director of Leadership Giving to join the Johns Hopkins Institute for Planetary Health (JHIPH). This role involves managing fundraising efforts, developing strategies to identify new donors, and creating plans to steward current donors. The focus will be on individual donors, foundations, and corporate grants to support research, education, and operational needs. Work Arrangement: Hybrid with onsite presence of 3 days/week in Baltimore/Washington DC area. Travel is required within the US and internationally, averaging 3-5 days/month. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting 50-75 major donors, with short-term and long-term financial goals. Manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporations, including developing proposals and stewardship plans. Collaborate with university teams for grant opportunities and corporate partnerships. Oversee the development budget and ensure alignment with institutional communication efforts. Lead and motivate faculty and leadership in fundraising activities. Manage stewardship for high-level donors and participate in development meetings and training. Advisory Board Management: Coordinate fundraising activities for the Alliance Advisory Board and develop future strategies for an Institute-wide advisory board. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree At least 5 years of professional fundraising experience Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and 10+ years of related experience, including major and principal gifts Experience in international fundraising and higher education Strong communication skills, ethical standards, and a collaborative approach Interest or background in environmental sciences or Earth systems Additional Details: Salary range is $85,000 - $149,800, with a targeted salary of $130,000, dependent on experience.
