Job specification

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive infection prevention and control policies and programs in alignment with regulatory standards. Conduct surveillance and analysis of infection trends, providing recommendations to reduce and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to educate and train staff on infection prevention protocols, best practices, and compliance measures. Lead and participate in infection prevention initiatives, audits, and assessments to ensure a safe environment of care. Act as a subject matter expert on infection prevention during public health crises and provide guidance on outbreak management. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Public Health, or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in infection prevention, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of healthcare-associated infection prevention measures, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
