Job Summary
The Director of Human Resources will lead all HR functions at a resort, including recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, budgeting, training, and employee relations. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring the ability to guide leadership while also managing daily HR operations and compliance with federal and state laws.
Must-Have Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field 3+ years of experience in HR management Experience recruiting for executive or key leadership positions Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws Experience administering benefit programs (health, PTO, workers' comp, etc.) Budgeting experience in an HR department Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: HR experience in a hotel or resort setting Professional certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) Proficiency with HRIS and HR-related software Experience building relationships with local agencies and educational institutions Familiarity with conducting audits and policy implementation
