Director of Human Resources

We are seeking a strategic and driven Director of Human Resources to align our human resources initiatives with our organization's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR practices, policies, and regulations, with a proven ability to cultivate a positive workplace culture, drive talent acquisition efforts, manage team member development programs, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with and support the organization's goals and objectives. - Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing expert advice on HR-related matters and driving initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness. - Oversee recruitment, retention, and talent management processes to attract and retain top talent. - Implement comprehensive training and development programs to promote team member growth and enhance organizational capabilities. - Lead team member engagement initiatives, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and equity. - Manage the performance management process. - Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and best practices, advising management on compliance-related issues. - Analyze HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in HR processes and programs. - Manage the HR budget and resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of funds and maximizing return on investment in HR initiatives. - Foster strong relationships with team members and management, addressing HR-related issues and providing guidance as needed. - Lead the HR team, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred. Minimum of 5 years previous experience as an HR Director, preferably in hospitality. In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance issues. Proven experience developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
