Job Qualifications
To be considered for the Director of Human Resources position in Sedona, AZ, the ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field; equivalent related work experience is also welcome.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR management, with a preference for those with expertise in hotel or resort industries.
- Experience with international staffing processes, including H2B, J1, and TN visas.
- A proven track record of culture-building and fostering positive workplace environments.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with HR software systems. (ADP)
- Certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required.
Job Responsibilities
As the Director of Human Resources in Sedona, AZ, you will lead the HR function to support dynamic, people-focused operations, including:
- Executive and Key Role Recruitment: Recruit, screen, and facilitate hiring processes for leadership and pivotal positions.
- Employee Support: Provide counseling, guidance, and actionable recommendations to both management and staff.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Design, audit, and implement HR policies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefit programs, including medical, life insurance, paid time off, workers compensation, and more.
- Budget Leadership: Manage the HR department budget effectively and align resources with strategic goals.
- Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with local agencies, educational institutions, and other community entities.
- Confidentiality and Reporting: Maintain the integrity of employee records and generate timely reports to aid managements decision-making.
- Training and Development: Continuously advance training programs to elevate team member growth and departmental efficiency.
