What the Director of Human Resources role looks like:
· Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy to drive organizational success and growth.
· Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment through effective employee engagement, conflict resolution, and by promoting open communication channels.
· Performance Management: Design and implement performance appraisal systems that drive high performance. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance issues.
· Learning and Development: Create and manage comprehensive training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
· Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the development and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
· Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Manage risk by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
· Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a more inclusive workplace, promoting a culture of respect and equal opportunity.
· HR Metrics and Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and data analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and strategies.
· Organizational Development: Support organizational change initiatives through strategic HR planning and execution, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the business.
· Leadership Development: Provide coaching and development opportunities for managers and leaders to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
· Budget Management: Oversee the HR department budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and alignment with organizational goals.
What our ideal candidate looks like:
· Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
· Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management or equivalent; Master’s Degree or SHRM certification a plus.
· In depth knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws in multiple states.
· Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
· Experience in leading and supporting organizational change initiatives.
· Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to confidentiality.
· Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Experience with development of compensation and benefit strategies across a multi-state organization.
· Must be proficient in MS Excel, MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Zoom, and have experience with HRIS systems.
· Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced team environment.
· High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Work Environment:
· Standard office setting.
· Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
· Must be able to sit for up to 4 hours at a time.
