POSITION OBJECTIVE To oversee the running of the Housekeeping and Laundry department, ensuring at all times that the team is performing at the highest possible standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning of the departments. Assists with the compiling of the weekly schedules and managing of the departmental payroll. Oversees the hiring and training of all new service professionals. Responsible for all coach and counselling of the department Ensures that at all times the Forbes 5 Star standards are met and maintained. Conduct regular inspections of the resort to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards, this includes all Public Areas throughout the hotel Manages operating expenses to maximize costs within the budget / forecast while providing excellent guest services. Oversees daily operational line ups both AM and PM and monthly communication meetings. Assist the Managers and Supervisors with the departmental audits and role plays. Participate with the Front of House weekly MOD schedule. Oversee the turndown operations as needed. Assist with the purchasing of all new equipment when needed and will ensure that the necessary training is given Assist with daily operations of Front of House if needed Conduct weekly walk through with the overnight team Responsible for the maintaining of current linens par levels and any other operational needs. Oversee with the training and onboarding of all new hires within the housekeeping department. Meet on weekly basis with the Hotel Manager EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Three to five years of management experience with at least two years in housekeeping management or as a manager in another department, with equaling responsibilities. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
