Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff? Sandstone of Tucson is looking for an experienced and dedicated Director of Housekeeping & Laundry to join our leadership team.
As the Director, you’ll oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations within our skilled nursing and long-term care community. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with infection control standards, maintaining supply inventories, and creating efficient cleaning and linen processes that uphold our high standards of care.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and train housekeeping and laundry team members.
Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure facility cleanliness and resident satisfaction.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and infection control standards.
Manage supply ordering, budgeting, and inventory.
Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and administration to support overall facility operations.
Conduct regular inspections and quality assurance checks.
Promote a positive, team-oriented work culture focused on quality and accountability.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping or environmental services leadership (healthcare or hospitality preferred).
Strong understanding of infection control and sanitation protocols.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in environmental services or management preferred.
