Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various healthcare settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing nursing operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursing department to provide exceptional patient care and services.
Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA and Medicare guidelines.
Oversee the documentation review process to maintain accurate medical records.
Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support in daily operations and shift management.
Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
Facilitate training and development programs for nursing staff to enhance skills in EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes through effective management practices.
Maintain knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support clinical decision-making.
Requirements
Current nursing license with significant experience in nursing administration or management roles.
Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, home health, hospice care, or acute care environments.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on nurse management and supervising experience.
Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments and care planning processes.
Proficient understanding of EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation practices.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring quality patient care is maintained.
