Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Health Economics and Field Reimbursement - Shockwave to lead our national team of Health Economics and Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs). This individual will be a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling the field reimbursement strategy for our cutting-edge cardiovascular device portfolio. In addition, this person will be responsible for overseeing the health economics studies for cost effectiveness models, patient outcomes and developing economic models. The role demands deep expertise in access and reimbursement, strong leadership, and the ability to interface cross-functionally across Commercial, Market Access, Sales, Clinical, Legal, and Medical Affairs teams. The Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring patients and providers navigate complex reimbursement environments with ease-accelerating therapy adoption, improving patient access, and ensuring business success.

The Director of Health Economics and Field Reimbursement is responsible for directing and executing the overall US field reimbursement strategy for Shockwave's existing and future products. The individual has in-depth expertise in developing and implementing strategic and tactical health economic and reimbursement initiatives in the US. Candidates should have a proven track record of success, including direct contributions in securing access for novel technologies, participation within the CMS rule making process, and a legacy of strategy development within the medical device market. The role will also incorporate communication to, and with, third party payers, government entities and other partners and trade associations.

Strong capabilities in areas such as influence, communication, collaboration and partnership working are critical to this position. The individual is highly skilled at developing relationships and experience working with KOLs, physician specialty societies, sales teams and senior management. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Market Access and Reimbursement, this person will be in a highly visible and critical role as we launch new products and applications for IVL in the United States.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

Bay Area: $197,000 - $317,400 ; US Country Norm: $160,00 - $276,0000
