Overview Group VP Financial Planning & Analysis Transportation, Logistics & Government Contracting Orlando, FL $300k + The Company We are partnered with a large cap private equity fund ($20bn) on a Group VP FP&A role for one of their portfolio companies ($1bn, $150m EBIDTA). The business is the leading national operator in the transportation and concessions sector and is seeking a Group VP FP&A to report directly into the Group CFO and private equity sponsor in driving value creation and preparing the business for a future exit. The company recently emerged from restructuring and is now focused on growth, operational discipline, and complex strategic initiatives. This is a high-impact role for a strategic, commercially minded finance leader eager to work in a dynamic, transaction-driven environment with full exposure to c-suite and the private equity partners. The Opportunity The company is seeking a high-impact Group Vice President, FP&A to serve as a strategic and financial thought partner to the CEO, Group CFO, and PE sponsor . This is a highly visible role with significant influence across the organization — ideal for an intellectually curious, polished, and driven finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, change-oriented environments. The FP&A function is in a phase of modernization and the incoming leader will play a critical role in embedding financial discipline, improving business partnering, and building scalable processes that enable data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Group CFO, and PE sponsor , shaping strategic and financial decisions. Lead and scale a 10-person FP&A team (with a path to 20) to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights. Drive forward-looking analysis, forecasting, and performance management to support growth and value creation. Present confidently and persuasively to senior executives, investors, and the board . Instil financial rigor, operational discipline, and accountability across the business, ensuring alignment with PE expectations. Partner cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and accounting leaders to improve reporting, planning, and analytics. Optimize use of recently implemented systems (Planful and Great Plains) to create a best-in-class FP&A environment. Build a robust board and investor reporting cadence , ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clarity in communications to the PE fund and stakeholders. Establish rapid reporting cycles and accelerate monthly/quarterly close-to-report timelines to meet the pace of private equity oversight. Provide detailed variance, bridge, and trend analyses to drive actionable insights and accountability across business units. Support strategic initiatives, M&A, and scenario modelling to assess investment opportunities and inform decision-making. Lead development of KPI dashboards and performance metrics , connecting operational drivers to financial outcomes. Serve as a catalyst for speed and insight , transforming the FP&A function from reactive to proactive business partnering. Candidate Profile Exceptional communicator — polished, articulate, and confident in both written and verbal presentation; board-ready presence. High EQ, low ego — thrives on collaboration, able to build trust and influence across the organization. Driven and detail-oriented — obsessive about performance and results, comfortable being hands-on when needed. Background in investment banking, consulting, or professional services (e.g., McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, or similar) strongly preferred. Experience in private or PE-backed companies highly valued. Willingness and ability to relocate to Orlando, FL .
