Overview Director of Financial Planning & Analysis – Design Entities is a leadership role responsible for the GPLA and IDtBS business financials. The Director of FP&A partners with GPLA and IDtBS leaders, core teams, and other F&A leaders to drive consistent processes and accurate financials.

Responsibilities Lead in a shared leadership environment, influencing positive outcomes over command and control. Ensure the function is organized to scale for growth by identifying and implementing process improvements and effectively using data and technology. Perform forward-looking business scenario analyses to inform leadership of opportunities, risks, and operational needs. Support Design Entities strategies with alignment to long-term company objectives. Stay current with trends and opportunities to provide insights into the future. Assist and support financial and accounting results at GPLA and IDtBS across multiple locations (GPLA West and East; IDtBS West and East). Be a strategic business partner to GPLA and IDtBS leadership and core teams. Report timely and accurate monthly financial information with evaluation of risks and opportunities to GPLA, IDtBS, and DPR Enterprise F&A. Direct day-to-day operational accounting for GPLA & IDtBS. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, local regulations, and internal controls. Support the annual Business Planning process. Lead finance initiatives supporting process improvements within accounting. Provide analysis of financial position to inform strategic decisions. Financials – Specific Areas of Focus Manage and update the WIP schedule monthly for Leadership review, evaluating project health. Prepare draft financials, attend monthly project review meetings, finalize monthly financial package, and submit to DPR Enterprise F&A. Generate monthly MDAs for Design Entities leadership review and alignment. Assist in preparing backlog data based on booked and unbooked work, backlog, CRM opportunities, and market projections. Review overhead cost trends and investigate unusual fluctuations. Monitor utilization rates for direct labor and overhead; update overhead and labor rates and participate in annual reviews. Customize financial reports in the system based on operations requirements. ERP management, including reports, general ledger, processes, COA setup, and financial statement mapping. Review financial details of new projects and contracts to ensure accuracy with terms before adding to monthly reports. Support ad hoc analysis as requested. Attend Leadership meetings to inform on financials and other requested information. Accounting Understand key owner contract provisions affecting accounting (billing terms, rates, incentives, penalties, contingency use, audit provisions). Understand POC accounting and BIE/CIE issues; communicate issues with project teams and Leadership. Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by Accountant. Drive best practices for accounting and the Enterprise. Follow up with project teams on timely invoices and collections. Cash flow – analyze internal capacity and forecast future cash needs to support decisions. General Critical thinkers with problem-solving skills using research and analytics. Proactive in identifying trends, issues, and troubleshooting upstream. Provide regular, thorough communication with leaders. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Build strong working relationships and foster a positive work environment. Strong organizational skills; plan and manage time efficiently. Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Education/Experience Requirements 10+ years practicing accounting and/or finance support. BS in Accounting or related field (finance, audit, tax). Proficiency with accounting software applications. Construction or design industry experience preferred. EPM/Oracle; ERP (Ajera experience a plus). Experience working with multiple stakeholders. Note: In compliance with local law, compensation is disclosed where legally required.
