We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial planning and analysis for a global oil and gas equipment organization. This pivotal role involves driving strategic initiatives, enhancing financial performance, and ensuring compliance across international operations. Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a global team of financial professionals, including project accountants, cost accountants, and analysts. • Oversee financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for long-term projects and diverse revenue streams. • Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership while ensuring clarity and actionable outcomes. • Collaborate with regional and operational teams to develop annual plans, update forecasts, and evaluate profitability by product line and geography. • Manage project accounting for percentage-of-completion contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and adherence to financial controls. • Conduct data-driven analytics and scenario modeling to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with established financial policies and regulations. • Enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and transparency of financial reporting processes. • Implement improvements in forecasting, project tracking, and performance measurement tools and methodologies. • Provide financial leadership and insights on cross-functional strategic initiatives. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and FP& A within a global manufacturing environment. • Expertise in cost accounting and strong knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance. • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational levels. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with tools like Hyperion Financial Management or Oracle is a plus. • Demonstrated success in driving process improvement initiatives, including automation tools such as Alteryx or Power Query. • Strong ability to manage complex financial operations and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
