Position Summary: Freestone Lake and Golf is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead all financial operations across our luxury hospitality and golf club. This role will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, accounting, and compliance, while also contributing to long-term financial planning and strategic decision-making. The Director of Finance will ensure fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and financial integrity to support the continued success and growth of our club. This position is located in Dallas, Texas.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities Deliver accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Develop and implement financial strategies that support operational goals and profitability Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll Ensure full compliance with hospitality accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements Partner with club operations and department heads to drive financial performance and cost efficiencies Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and risk management strategies Coordinate and lead the annual audit and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions Evaluate financial systems and implement improvements to support automation and accuracy Mentor and lead finance and accounting staff to foster a high-performance team
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master's or MBA preferred) CPA or CMA certification preferred 7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 in a hospitality or resort environment Strong understanding of hospitality industry KPIs, revenue management, and operational metrics Proficiency with financial software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or resort-specific platforms) Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail Ability to work cross-functionally and support operational excellence across departments
