As the Director of Finance, you’ll own the organization’s financial operations and strategy, ensuring compliance and supporting the organization’s strategic growth. Essential Job Functions include: Financial Operations and Compliance (50%) : Own the organization-wide finance strategy, build grant budgets, review and approve grant invoices, and produce reconciled grant financials. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Strategy (25%) : Lead the annual organizational and grant budgeting process, maintain rolling forecasts, and support the organization’s strategic growth. Financial Reporting, Cash, and Controls (15%) : Ensure timely and accurate monthly close and internal financials, oversee external audits, and manage cash, banking, debt, and investments. Team Leadership, Systems, and Culture (10%) : Supervise the Accounting Manager and Bookkeeper, communicate complex financial topics, and optimize accounting and grant-tracking systems. Required Qualifications & Experience include: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management. Proven track record of successful financial management. Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Strong leadership and management skills. Preferred Qualifications & Experience include: Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
