We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team on a 6-month contract basis. The Director will play a critical role in strengthening our operational and financial functions while mentoring and developing our current staff. This position requires a strong background in both finance and operations within a smaller manufacturing industry. We are looking for someone that has help grow a $40M company to a $100M company. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, a hands-on management style, and the ability to implement best practices that enhance efficiency, financial discipline, and operational excellence. All while overseeing a small team including a Controller, AP, AR, and Payroll professionals. Key Responsibilities Create, develop and implement scalable financial processes, policies, and strategies that align with organizational goals
Lead continuous process improvements and efficiencies
Oversee daily operations across manufacturing, supply chain, and administrative functions.
Oversee all aspects of financial accounting operations, including planning, reporting, and analysis for strategic decision-making.
Manage the organization's daily cash operations and prepare accurate cash flow reporting
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Partner closely with Operational and Financial leadership to align financial and operational goals with overall business strategy.
Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance analysis.
Mentor, coach, and educate the current staff to build stronger operational and financial capabilities.
Drive cross-departmental collaboration to ensure consistent execution and delivery of company objectives.
Collaborate with external vendors, outside auditors and tax professionals
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Support strategic initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required). Master's or MBA is a huge plus!
10+ years of combined finance and operations leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
Prior experience with Quickbooks and Method CRM
Strong understanding of financial management, cost accounting, and operational efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on mentoring and staff growth.
Proven track record of process improvement and operational excellence.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Contract Details Duration: 6 months (possibly longer) Compensation: Commensurate with experience Schedule: Full-time, on-site with leadership team Apply:
