NINOS, Inc. provides comprehensive services to children and families in Cameron and Willacy Counties through Head Start and Early Head Start programs. We are seeking a highly skilled and mission-driven Director of Finance to lead our finance department, ensure fiscal integrity, and support our commitment to children and families.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5+ years of accounting and finance management experience with Head Start grants.

• Supervisory experience in fiscal management and administration.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clear background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA license or equivalent.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or resident of Cameron or Willacy County.

• Experience working with diverse and disadvantaged populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all finance operations, including budgeting, payroll, procurement, and audits.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations, and Head Start Performance Standards.

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and grant submissions.

• Lead and supervise finance staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and federal financial reporting.

• Present financial updates to leadership, Policy Council, and Board of Directors.
