Overview:

Our Act 60 export services company, based in the vibrant business hub of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is on an ambitious growth trajectory. We're seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our financial strategy and ensure compliance with Act 60 incentives, while building and managing a high-performing accounting and finance team. This role also supports our family office, with responsibilities spanning investment management and wealth preservation. It's a unique opportunity for a finance leader to leverage Puerto Rico's comprehensive tax incentives to drive growth and maximize financial benefit across both corporate and family office assets. This multifaceted role requires expertise in overseeing corporate financial operations while managing financial planning, investments, and wealth preservation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Corporate Financial and Investment Management: Lead the financial operations, compliance, and reporting for our Act 60 export services company, ensuring alignment with Act 60 requirements and optimizing tax incentives. Develop and execute investment strategies that align with our business growth and sustainability goals.
2. Family Office Wealth and Investment Management: Oversee wealth management strategies for the family office, including investment portfolio management, tax planning, and long-term financial planning. Identify and capitalize on opportunities within Puerto Rico's incentive programs to enhance wealth preservation and growth.
3. Puerto Rico Incentives and Tax Strategy Expertise: Serve as a strategic advisor on Puerto Rico's incentives, maximizing benefits for both the company and family office. Ensure compliance and develop proactive tax strategies that take full advantage of all relevant incentives under Act 20/22/60.
4. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing insights and data to the executive team to support informed decision-making. Prepare and present reports on financial performance, forecasts, and investment outcomes for both the company and family office.
5. Cash Flow and Capital Management: Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and risk management to align with both business objectives and family wealth preservation goals. This includes monitoring liquidity and ensuring optimal use of resources across all areas.
6. Team Leadership and Development: Manage and develop the accounting and finance team, including hiring, training, and performance management of accounting and finance staff to ensure team efficiency and alignment with company and family office objectives.
7. Internal Controls and Process Improvements: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiencies, and investment tracking.
8. Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee tax planning and compliance efforts within Puerto Rican and international markets, ensuring all activities align with local and international tax laws. This includes proactive management of tax strategies that capitalize on all available benefits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in finance leadership roles, with a track record in both corporate finance and personal wealth management.
• Extensive knowledge of Puerto Rico's Act 60 export service requirements and associated tax incentives.
• Proven experience in team management, including hiring, training, and performance management of accounting and finance staff.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business and investment insights.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across executive teams and departments.
