We are seeking a Director of Facilities & Capital Improvement to lead all capital improvement and facilities maintenance efforts across two luxury private Clubs on Bald Head Island: the BHI Club and the Shoals Club. This is a high-impact leadership role at a premier coastal destination that blends resort-style hospitality with elite member service.

What You'll Do

As the Director of Facilities & Capital Improvement, you'll serve as:

Superintendent of all capital construction projects

Project Manager for Master Plan and Operating Capital initiatives

Department Head for Facilities Maintenance, Housekeeping, Warehouse, and Transportation

You'll manage multi-million-dollar projects, lead preventative maintenance strategies, supervise talented teams, and ensure operational excellence across every system—from HVAC to aquatics to electrical and plumbing.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading capital construction projects from permitting through punch-out

Overseeing maintenance, housekeeping, and logistics teams

Budgeting, financial tracking, and vendor negotiation

Managing compliance with codes, permits, and safety protocols

Developing preventative maintenance schedules and asset management plans

Using project management tools to report, forecast, and deliver on time

What We're Looking For

Strong background in facilities operations , commercial construction , or hospitality engineering

Hands-on knowledge of HVAC , electrical , plumbing , and general maintenance systems

Experience managing budgets , teams , and projects simultaneously

Skilled communicator who collaborates well with executive leadership, vendors, line staff, and cross-functional teams

Technically adept and able to interpret architectural plans and construction drawings

Certifications such as CPO, Superintendent, HVAC, or related credentials are a strong plus

Compensation & Perks

$125,000 - $135,000 annual salary (DOE)
