Director of Facilities and Grounds Opportunity! Job Summary Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and overall facilities operations of all buildings and grounds. Ensures safety, compliance, and functionality of physical spaces while supporting organizational needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise facilities and maintenance staff; work alongside team to achieve departmental goals. Manage building systems including fire, security, and surveillance. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed Oversee routine safety checks and inspections of equipment (e.g., elevators, fire suppression systems). Schedule safety drills and First Aid staff training Develop and manage departmental budget, including purchasing and capital improvement planning Establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs for facilities and equipment Manage and oversee outside contractors for construction, renovations, and grounds projects. Provide coordination with architects, engineers, and other partners as needed Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational standards Actively work daily alongside maintenance and events staff to prepare for events Maintain records related to facilities, equipment, vendors, compliance, and maintenance schedules Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in facilities management or related field Experience supervising a team (5–10 people) Trade license or knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing preferred Availability for after-hours events and emergencies Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of fire, security, and surveillance systems Gage is a trusted professional recruiting firm with over 40 years of experience, connecting top talent with career opportunities in multiple sectors.
