Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management across a distributed engineering team.
  • Define and implement the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee architecture and technical decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Develop engineering KPIs, manage sprints, and remove blockers to maintain velocity.
  • Stay hands-on with technical oversight by reviewing design documents, code, and system architecture.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, especially in AI and related tooling.
  • Collaborate with the CTO on budgeting, resourcing, and long-term planning.
  • Foster a collaborative culture of accountability, learning, and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering roles, including 3+ years in engineering leadership.
  • Proven success managing and scaling engineering teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency with generative AI systems and associated tooling.
  • Strong development skills in modern programming languages, particularly Python.
  • Deep familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud Platform), distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL).
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset with a bias for action and pragmatic problem-solving.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech or other regulated industries.
  • Pre-sales or client demo experience.
  • Exposure to advanced data infrastructure or MLOps/LLMOps practices.
