Position Title: Director of Emergency Services

Location: El Paso, TX

Shift: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $109,000 $125,000 (based on experience)
• Performance Bonus: 17.5% 26.25% annually (based on performance)
• Relocation Assistance: $15,000 lump sum + additional support for household goods (tiered based on renter vs. homeowner status)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Emergency Services to oversee operations for a busy emergency department and two affiliated freestanding EDs in the El Paso area. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader with strong clinical expertise and a passion for team development and patient-centered care.

The department manages a moderate-acuity patient population, including STEMI and stroke cases, with a combined daily volume of approximately 120150 patients.

Leadership Structure:

• Reports to the Administrative Director of Emergency Services
• Oversees approximately 80 FTEs
• Clinical leadership is supported by a team of Charge Nurses (CNCs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead operations across multiple ED sites with a focus on efficiency, clinical quality, and patient satisfaction
• Guide nursing practice and departmental strategy
• Optimize staffing models, throughput, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance
• Partner with executive and clinical leadership on growth initiatives and service line development

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
• Masters Degree preferred
• 3+ years of Emergency Department leadership experience required
• Must have recent or current experience in a hospital-based ED setting

ED Snapshot:

• 3 total ED sites (including freestanding)
• Moderate acuity; not a major trauma center
• Combined daily volume: ~120150 visits
• No managers; leadership support through CNC model
• Focused on stroke, cardiac, and general emergency care
