The Salvation Army is hiring for the position of Director of Emergency Housing. The role is available immediately, with a varied schedule. The Director reports to the Assistant Director of PSSM and is compensated at $80,000 per year, grade 15, exempt.

The Eliza Shirley House & Red Shield Family Residence are emergency housing programs offering services to empower residents towards self-sufficiency. All family configurations are accepted.
Responsibilities
The Director of Emergency Housing oversees the management of the Red Shield Family Residence and Eliza Shirley House, ensuring healthy and safe operations in compliance with all mandates and funding requirements. Responsibilities include direct supervision of both Assistant Directors, supervision of after hours, clinical supervision to all Case Managers, staff development, personnel administration, and all reporting requirements for program renewal and grant writing. The Director also communicates with corporations, funding sources, organizations, government agencies, community, and church groups to further the outreach of The Salvation Army's mission.

Qualifications
Requirements include a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW). LSW/LCSW is preferred. Previous experience managing emergency housing programs is required. Training in trauma-informed care (Sanctuary Model Training) is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Child Protection Clearances are required by PA Act 153, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Mandated Reporter Training, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check along with renewals every five years. An understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Sanctuary Model is essential.
