The Director of Electrical Operations will manage all aspects of operations on our EPC utility-scale solar and BESS projects from RFP to closeout. Review bid documents, provide estimates, build schedules for multiple projects and provide support to both the Project Management and Engineering teams.Summary:We're leading the industry in sustainable energy careers. We hope you'll join us.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Build relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsProvide accurate cost and time estimates for project completionEnsure clarity and completeness of project requirementsDirect workload, manpower, and material planning to ensure the construction objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Recommend strategies to improve quality or reduce costEnsure that all factors used in the production of construction estimates are current and appropriate for the executed plan.Ensure that engineering designs meet project specifications and regulatory standardsResponsible for overseeing electrical operations from Request for Proposal (RFP) through design plan preparation, construction and closeout to ensure projects are completed on budget and scheduleSupport the Electrical Self-Perform team in developing and managing Comprehensive Strategic Plans for projectsReview Standard Operating Procedures of Electrical Operations to ensure contractual requirements are metReview bid packages, including detailed cost analysis, BOM takeoffs, schedules and scope of workProvide detailed description of tasks, deliverables, timelines, and stakeholder responsibilitiesProvide guidance and support to the Construction team to ensure compliance with permits per regulatory agenciesEvaluate subcontractor agreements for compliance and completenessManage turnover of documentation from proposal team to the Execution DirectorPossess vast knowledge of all BOS systems and has expertise in installation of CAB Lines, DC Collection Systems, Wire Management, Terminations, Grounding Requirements, Electrical Codes, Conduit, PCS Underground Prep (Transformers & Inverters), DC Collection Systems, Basic Compaction Means and Methods, Support Brackets per code, and Electrical Testing Procedures.Responsible for implementing electrical safety requirements including proper PPE, LOTO, arch flash, etc.Ensure that necessary materials and equipment are on site to support project schedules and advise of potential constraints and assist in circumventing and resolving such problemsManage and lead the Electrical Self-Perform team and subcontractors, ensuring that all responsibilities are being metDevelop work plans, means and methods, and schedule to maximize workflow, progress, and efficiencies in the fieldBe knowledgeable of SWPP, SPCC best practicesChampion Quality, Safety and Environmental initiatives and lead by exampleOther duties as assigned by the Sr. Director of ConstructionEducation and/or Work Requirements: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field10+ years of electrical experienceMaster License Holder- Multi State (Preferred)NFPA 70E CertificationProficient in preparing and reviewing bid packagesProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsPhysical Requirements/Work Environment: Work is performed mainly in an office setting and will require occasional overnight travelAbout UsStrata Clean Energy is a leading developer, EPC, and service provider for utility-scale solar and storage systems in the United States.
