Ground Up Construction Recruiting is partnering with a prominent general contractor specializing in government and healthcare projects to find an exceptional Director of Electrical and Low Voltage Operations for their self-performing divisions. With offices in California and a new location in New Mexico, we seek a leader who is not only technically astute but also prioritizes people and teamwork. Compensation & Benefits: Annual salary starting at $170k + bonus Company vehicle and gas card 3 weeks paid time off (PTO) 5 sick days and 7 holidays 401k with profit-sharing (3-5%) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage The Director of Electrical and Low Voltage Operations will lead and unify two vital departments. This role encompasses strategic planning, project delivery, compliance, financial oversight, and effective team leadership across all electrical and low voltage initiatives. You will cultivate strong partnerships with department managers, promote a cohesive leadership culture, and guide both teams towards achieving common objectives while honoring their specific functions. This leadership position requires the ability to manage organizational transitions, inspire team members, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, code-compliant projects within set timelines and budgets. You will also align departmental performance with the company's broader goals, identify avenues for innovation and growth, and ensure operational excellence across both sectors. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management Project Oversight Financial Management Safety, Quality & Compliance Client & Business Development What Makes You a Great Fit: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) 10+ years of experience in electrical construction with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, data, security, AV) Proven track record in managing healthcare and/or government projects successfully In-depth understanding of NEC, NFPA 70/99, BICSI, and relevant codes/regulations Proficient in tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, Intellibid, P6/MS Project, and AutoCAD/BIM
