Director of Early Pipeline Global Commercial Strategy

This position is based in Boston, MA and reports to the Vice‑President of Early Pipeline Global Commercial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial guidance to the early disease strategy team (eDST) based on customer, patient, payor, and competitive insight to shape strategy for successful commercialization of innovative medicines.
  • Develop strong partnerships with functional team members to support business goals.
  • Direct development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans, including patient journey, target product profile, and revenue forecast for early pipeline program(s).
  • Generate and consolidate key stakeholder insights through market research and advisory boards to inform commercialization strategy.
  • Provide operational and strategic support to the early pipeline global commercialization team.

Skills

  • In‑depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical R&D process and regulatory, reimbursement, and commercial landscape.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to identify future opportunities beyond the current state.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and making clear strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to oversee insights generation activity and apply insights to business challenges.
  • Strong analytical mindset to simplify and synthesize complex ideas and provide clear recommendations.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Independent work habit with cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences preferred); graduate degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in life sciences consulting and/or the biopharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong quantitative analytical experience, including financial modeling in Excel.
  • Strong qualitative research skills, including interviewing thought leaders and advisors.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to executives.
  • Desire to be part of an innovative company and sense of urgency to transform lives of people with serious diseases.

Compensation

Pay range: $194,400 – $291,600. Eligible for annual bonus and equity awards. Overtime pay may apply as permitted by law.

Flex Designation
