We are seeking a visionary Data Engineering Leader to drive the strategic direction and execution of our global data platform, analytics, and data management initiatives. In this role, you will lead high-performing teams, build scalable data infrastructure, and champion a data-driven culture across the organization. You’ll partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to design and implement cloud-based data solutions that support both operational excellence and strategic growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in data engineering, cloud platforms, and business intelligence, along with a proven track record of leading teams, delivering results, and fostering innovation in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities include:
Leading the design and execution of enterprise data architecture, data platforms, and analytics strategies.
Building and mentoring global data engineering and analytics teams.
Driving engineering best practices in data quality, governance, observability, and scalability.
Partnering with stakeholders to define KPIs and enable self-service analytics through a BI Center of Excellence.
Ensuring data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance across cloud and hybrid environments.
Managing project portfolios, budgets, and resource allocation.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Must-Haves:
10+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics.
6+ years in a leadership role managing high-performing teams.
Deep expertise in SQL, data warehousing, pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Strong programming skills with Python, Java, and/or Spark.
Experience in cloud data architecture, dimensional modeling, and performance optimization.
Proven ability to define metrics, monitor quality, and scale solutions.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
Background leading technical modernization programs in retail or similarly customer-centric industries.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with data governance, stewardship, and compliance.
Familiarity with medallion architecture, advanced analytics, and machine learning.
Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
