Industry Information Technology and Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is looking for a dynamic Director of Development for Data Centers to spearhead the strategic construction and design of advanced facilities. This is a pivotal role for someone who is passionate about driving innovation in data center development. The successful candidate will orchestrate multi-site initiatives, own project business cases, and ensure that all designs and constructions align with high-performance and sustainability standards. Ideal applicants are those who thrive in fast-paced environments, influence design protocols, and establish effective processes. Key responsibilities include: Developing and managing critical-path schedules Setting company-wide development standards Overseeing site budgets from inception to completion Translating customer demand into phased capacity plans Maintaining a comprehensive risk register Creating development dashboards Facilitating smooth transitions from design to operational status on Day 1 Applicants should have at least 10 years of demonstrable experience in leading the large-scale development of mission-critical facilities, with a strong background in managing end-to-end budgets. A deep understanding of power distribution, mechanical cooling, structural systems, and commissioning best practices is essential. Furthermore, the role requires adeptness in aligning cross-functional teams in a high-growth setting and proficiency with project controls and reporting tools. Professional credentials such as PE, PMP, or comparable are preferred. Familiarity with multi-region data center roll-outs, green-energy solutions, liquid cooling, and AI/HPC workloads is a plus.
