Our client is a major fast-food company experiencing rapid growth across the United States. They are transforming their data landscape to support data-driven decision making and need a skilled Director of Data Architecture and Governance to build their data foundation from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Director of Data Architecture and Governance on behalf of our client to lead data quality, integrity, and compliance initiatives in a greenfield technical environment.
Manage data quality and integrity across all organizational data sources and systems
Own and implement comprehensive data governance processes and compliance frameworks
Ensure data cleanliness and establish robust data quality monitoring and remediation processes
Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions to support business growth
Manage small teams of data professionals and provide technical leadership
Focus on operations improvements, expanding to cover supply chain and human resources
Scale data governance and architecture across the entire organization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business needs
Establish data standards, policies, and procedures for enterprise-wide adoption
Lead compliance efforts to ensure data handling meets regulatory and industry requirements
Requirements
Experience & Background:
Minimum 8 years of data architecture and governance experience
Proven experience managing small teams of data professionals
Experience building data solutions in greenfield environments
QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or restaurant industry experience preferred but not required
Technical Skills:
Strong expertise in Azure cloud platforms and services
Broad technical knowledge across multiple frameworks and technologies
Experience with data quality tools and data governance platforms
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts
Knowledge of compliance requirements and data privacy regulations
Additional Qualifications:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proven track record of scaling data operations across multiple business functions
