This role is pivotal in shaping a forward-thinking data and AI strategy that aligns with our mission and drives long-term impact. We need a leader who can integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities while prioritizing ethical practices and cultural understanding. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and collaborate closely with leadership to prioritize AI and machine learning initiatives that provide significant value. Key responsibilities include: Strategic leadership in data and AI management Fostering innovation within a collaborative culture Championing change and ethical AI practices Developing and implementing analytics strategies To succeed in this role, applicants must have a proven background of at least 10 years in data, AI, or digital transformation, including a minimum of 5 years in leadership. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is required, with advanced degrees preferred. Essential qualifications include: Strong technical expertise in data architecture, engineering, and governance Experience with advanced analytics and modeling concepts Proficiency in AI/ML applications, especially in a Cloud environment Exceptional communication and consensus-building skills A commitment to continuous learning and improvement Cultural competency, particularly regarding Native Hawaiian culture, and experience with Indigenous or marginalized communities is a significant asset.
