About Us
Starlings is not just a new entertainment company—we’re a movement disguised as a mystery, a story world that invites people to play their way into purpose. We're launching soon in a historic venue in San Francisco with a genre-defying prototype experience. This is only the beginning.
Starlings is a multi-platform venture with the ambition to become a cultural engine for the climate era. Through unforgettable experiences, compelling IP, and a growing creative universe, we aim to spark awe, connection, and collective action—shifting narratives around what’s possible for our world.
We’re backed by a powerhouse team of creatives, entrepreneurs, and investors—and we’re looking for a San Francisco-based executive with deep corporate relationships to help us bring this vision to life. If you believe in the power of creativity to transform hearts, minds, and systems, we’d love to meet you.
Role Overview We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Director to lead our efforts in building relationships with companies and organizations. This is a senior role where you’ll build lasting partnerships that tie our groundbreaking experience to the needs of leading employers and their teams. It’s an opportunity to join early, help shape our strategy, and make a direct impact on our success and growth.
Your core focus will be developing and growing partnerships with Bay Area companies, with an emphasis on:
Team building experiences – innovative adventures that boost creativity, collaboration and team spirit
Corporate events and celebrations – unforgettable company gatherings in a unique setting that people will talk about long after they leave
Sponsorships – partnered-supported activations that raise awareness for mission-aligned brands and products
You’ll engage with senior decision-makers (People & Culture leaders, HR executives, event directors, marketing leaders), share our vision, and design tailored experiences that align with their goals. You’ll close partnerships and build long-term relationships that expand our reach and reputation in San Francisco.
This is a role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business development and strategy in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment—someone who can open doors, inspire confidence, adjust to market feedback on the fly and build a network of partnerships that will fuel both our mission and our growth.
Key Responsibilities Corporate Prospecting & Outreach: Identify and connect with target companies, senior decision-makers, and organizations across the Bay Area to develop new partnership opportunities.
Sales Pipeline Management: Build, track, and manage leads through CRM, from first contact to closed booking.
Pitch & Present: Deliver compelling presentations and site visits (in person and virtual) to showcase the value of our experiences.
Event Package Development: Work with our production and operations teams to design customized event and partnership packages that meet corporate client needs.
Partnership Development: Build strong connections with local companies, hotels, event planners, and networks to expand our reach and bring in new business through referrals and partnerships.
Follow-Up & Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication to secure repeat bookings and long-term corporate relationships.
Sales Reporting: Track performance against goals and share insights with the leadership team to shape strategy and growth.
Qualifications Proven sales, partnerships or business development experience, preferably with a mix of startups and established Bay Area companies.
Strong B2B sales skills, able to open doors and work with executives, HR leaders, event planners and marketing leaders.
Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area with a large network of leaders at local companies.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Highly organized and experience using CRM tools to manage leads and partnerships.
Driven, goal-oriented, and entrepreneurial — thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
Experience creating, organizing, or selling group events and sponsorships a plus.
Join Us While this is a short-term contract role, there is potential for a longer-term position as our company grows.
Competitive salary with commission.
Please share your resume and cover letter that includes examples of prior work and why this opportunity excites you.
