Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end M&A process, including identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and executing acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships. Conduct and coordinate financial, commercial, and technical due diligence with internal and external stakeholders. Build strategic theses and business cases for acquisitions in alignment with QM’s long-term strategy and roadmap. Oversee integration planning and execution to ensure value realization post-acquisition. Stay deeply informed about the quantum computing ecosystem, including key players, emerging startups, technologies, and venture trends. Continuously assess competitive landscapes and inorganic growth opportunities. Build and maintain long-term relationships with potential M&A targets, founders, VCs, and research institutions. Represent Quantum Machines as a strategic partner and thought leader within the quantum community. Work closely with R&D, product, finance, legal, and operations teams to evaluate opportunities and drive integration. Collaborate directly with QM’s CEO, executive team, and board on corporate development strategy and execution. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting with a focus on deep tech or M&A. Direct, hands-on experience running M&A processes end-to-end, including due diligence and integration. Deep understanding of quantum computing and the quantum computing ecosystem, companies and key personas. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Strong independent judgment and ability to operate autonomously in a highly technical and dynamic environment. Proven ability to build and nurture high-trust relationships with external stakeholders. Fluent English (written and spoken). Undergraduate degree. Preferred Skills Technical degree in physics, engineering, computer science, or related; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) is a plus. Strong global network in the quantum or advanced computing community. Experience with post-merger integration in a complex or fast-growing tech company.
