Job Title Director of College and Career Readiness Job Description Provide administrative direction in the planning, coordination, supervision, and administration of policies, procedures and programs in Adult Basic Education, Adult High School, High School Equivalency, and English as a Second Language. Essential Duties Summary Supervise and coordinate all policies, procedures, recruiting, reports, staffing, budgeting, requisitions, maintenance, and operation of College and Career Readiness program.
Supervise with seeking, selecting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and supervising persons who have the qualifications for holding instructor positions and other support positions in the program.
Write and submit the annual WIOA Adult Education and Family Literacy Act grant.
Prepare and submit all required budgets and time & effort reports for WIOA grants.
Assist in providing continued staff development training for all part-time instructors and related support positions.
Supervise recruitment and retention procedures by monitoring the formation and operation of on-site classes at businesses, industries, service agencies, public elementary schools, churches, community centers, etc.
The use of the LEIS data system to provide updated information on CCR programs and submit reports as directed by the VP of Workforce Development and NCCCS requests.
Directly supervise and support the job duties and responsibilities of full-time staff.
Ensure the implementation and coordination of innovative and creative recruitment and retention techniques and strategies for the various CCR programs.
Serve as the liaison between the CCC and Cleveland County Schools pertaining to the enrollment of minors for Adult High School. Evaluate and counsel the accepted or denied minors and parents or legal guardian regarding enrollment procedures or educational alternatives.
Confer and counsel with students and instructors through class site or campus visitations.
Direct, approve or initiate personnel actions including hiring, termination, and staff counseling.
Serve as spokesman for the various CCR programs at agencies and organizations.
Serve as a member of the College Administrative Council, WFD Committee, Planning Council, Library Committee, Enrollment Management Committee, and others as directed.
Represent the CCR program at meetings, conferences, and events locally and state-wide.
Prepare the Adult High School Affiliation Agreement and submit for approval to Cleveland County Schools every three years. Collect signatures from College President, and CCS Superintendent.
Prepare for Program Monitoring of CCR from the NCCCS office every five years.
Serve as the Administrator of the TABE testing program for CCR programs.
Performs other duties as assigned and other related duties incident to the work described herein. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college. Preferred Qualifications Administrative experience preferred. Physical Demands ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information, analyze data, make assessments, and exercise good judgment to make decisions; possess ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus; and effective use of all forms of communication (oral, visual, auditory), including use of computers. Be able to lift weights up to 10 pounds regularly.
